About Souriya Kay
Welcome to Kay Meraki Design! My name is Souriya Kay, an artist who paints as a form of art therapy. My intention is to share the beauty of colors that is often connected to emotions and deeper psychological aspects of our daily lives. I also share my love for nature, abstract, and fluid art. These various art styles allows me to connect to different parts of myself that I am able to express in the form of painting, wether that’s on a canvas, wall, etc.
My Story
When we think of passion, I feel we often think we need to be motivated, determined, or excited to pursue something. While those feelings are important, it is important to access if the passion you're pursuing feels safe, calming, or relaxing.

I knew I have a love for home decor , but I didn't realize I also have a love for painting.

In 2022, I began to paint my nails once a week for a hour. No matter how much my back would hurt, I always enjoyed the different designs I would paint. In 2023, I decided to enter into a pumpkin painting contest and in that moment I felt a sense of calmness. Everything in my mind and body was silent and calm. So I started to buy 11 x 14 canvas and I painted on and off for about two years. During that time, I explored different designs, inspiration, and art styles.

In 2024, I decided to start up my business Kay Meraki Design and showcase my love for painting art that is filled with warmth, good energy, and hope, that makes a part of us come alive.

I began to take my art seriously and explored an art style that I have forever fallen in love with. I create different art designs utilizing fluid art with an ombre of colors, finished with my signature gold outline. By creating artwork that embodies all colors, I show a balanced approach to the emotions we may feel or want to feel that sometimes don't get explored. My art focus on the beauty of nature, vibrant colors, and abstract/perspective art.

Art has brought me a sense of peace and relaxation and when we explore the importance of art, we explore the importance of self expression.
